9 Jun 2022 Water Spout
On 9 June we had one of our usual afternoon summer thunder storms. During the storm a water spout developed over the Indian River Lagoon and proceeded east into the canal near 646, jumped the finger at Sheepshead and then down South Sailfish. This storm was not forecasted to be a damaging event.
As the pictures show, the damage was relatively light compared to a Hurricane, but it does demonstrate that even a normal summer storm in South Florida can generate damage.
We ask that you keep this in mind when asked to secure your property for the Hurricane season.
Your failure to secure can not only result in your loss but contribute to the damage of your neighbors.
